App: Kids Coin Fun

What it does: Kids Coin Fun is a great app that teaches
students about money, more specifically, coins. Students can learn about
various coins, how to count them, how to add money, and give change.
Why I love it: I like using this app in my classroom to help
reinforce my lessons. The students don’t look at the app as a learning tool
because, to them, it’s a game, so they’re eager to get to the math station with
the fun games. I think it’s important for my students to start learning about
money now, so that they can be responsible with it in the future.
Money is so abstract for kids, so it certainly helps to use interactive game formats that reinforce particular skills.
